Durham Economic Prosperity Conference 2014 Planned For November 14th

The Durham Economic Prosperity Conference (DEPC), introduced in 2006, was an unprecedented success. Since then, every second year forward thinking leaders from across the region meet to discuss the most pressing issues facing Durham Region.

In an effort to maximize the Region’s economic opportunities and follow up on the success of the 2012 Conference, plans are underway for the fifth Economic Conference on the future of Durham Region. The Conference, slated for November 14th 2014, …

at the Quality Hotel & Conference Centre in Oshawa will see CEOs from many of the most influential companies in the Region, government leaders, university and college presidents, forward-thinking entrepreneurs, labour leaders and non-profit executives come together to share a common goal—moving Durham’s economy forward.

The one-half day “think tank” Conference will focus on “Strengthening Our Competitiveness”. Through the candid exchange of ideas it will explore the opportunities for working together and give us some sense of where Durham Region stands in the global economy and a greater insight of the challenges we need to deal with, the opportunities we need to seize and the threats that we need to come to grips with.
