CCRW provides employment support for individuals with disabilities living in the Durham Region.  At CCRW you have access to an experienced team of professionals eager to support job seekers finding employment and/or returning to work.

CCRW Employment Specialists assist ambitious job seekers in developing a customized ‘confidence building’ employment action plan that includes identifying goals, disability related accommodations, resume development, interview preparation and education on obtaining equitable employment.

To help ease with the transition into the workplace, financial assistance is available for workplace attire, footwear and travel costs.

Eligibility requirements:

  • A person with a disability/barrier motivated to find employment
  • Not eligible for assistance under Employment Insurance (EI) benefits
  • Unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

Employers can access 12 weeks of Wage Subsidy (up to $4800) to train new hires, support for planning and executing job fairs, provide staff with First Aid, WHMIS, Smart Serve, Food Safety and/or Accessible Customer Service Training and much more!
