Are we ready?

That’s what businesses throughout Durham Region will be asking themselves over the next three years as they prepare for the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games. The Games will bring more than 10,000 athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators to the GTA. With Toronto accommodations filled to capacity, and a range of Pan Am and Parapan events taking place here in Durham Region, it’s a good question to ask.

We are bringing industry leaders from the hospitality sector to Durham Region to ensure we are ready to welcome people of all abilities to work, play and stay in our Region.

Mark November 30, 2012 on your calendar. That’s the day DREN, our partners and sponsors host Capitalizing on CapAbilities, a day-long business to business conference and expo at the Abilities Centre in Whitby.

In addition to hosting the event, DREN will be conducting an environmental scan of businesses in the hospitality sector in Durham Region to help answer the question: Are we ready?
