Making Your Clothes Work For You Inc., is Durham Region’s Personal Consignment Boutique. Julie MacDonald, owner, believes in giving back to the community. Through the collaborative effort of her customers, she has written two cheques to the Humane Society of Durham, donated countless bags of clothing to the Y’s Wish Women’s and Children’s Shelter in Oshawa, Heat the Street (the ministry that provides clothing to the homeless in Oshawa) and has also provided an outfit to a very appreciative lady, through the Catholic Family Services of Durham, who had the daunting task of facing her abuser in court! Lennis’s practice today is very diversified, comprising residential, institutional, commercial and industrial projects. Because Lennis has also been, since 1989, a registered interior designer, the firm’s projects in the institutional area frequently include interior renovations and additions. Lennis maintains strong ties to the community through participation in service clubs and volunteer boards. He is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Oshawa Parkwood, Co-chair of the Kid’s Safety Village Committee Oshawa, a Past Master in the Masonic Lodge, a member and past officer in his local architects’ society and the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry. College Woodwork began in the early 1900’s as a woodworking class for students. By 1920, the woodworking class had grown into a business producing small household products. Bunny’s Food Service Ltd. - March 2011

Bunny’s Food Service Ltd., located at 350 Marwood Drive, Oshawa, is a family owned food service operating for the past 48 years in the City of Oshawa. Owners, John, Anita, Ted and Nancy Oortwyn, actively participate in the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce Annual Wine Tasting Event every February. They operate a full service catering business and also have a division for party line rentals and decorating services, vending division and cafeterias. They also provide vending/concession service for the City of Oshawa and packed food supply kiosk at Lakeridge Health Hospital. Their service is excellent, their friendly manner endearing, their business acumen refreshing. For the past 20 years they have made food donations, 3 times per week to St. Vincent Kitchen—continuously making charitable donations to various organizations by direct contributions or through price structure for a fund-raising catering event or providing rental donations for small, volunteer-run fundraisers.
