The games were well-received by those in attendance. Many left with a new favourite basketball player and great memories, as Oshawa Power head coach, and former NBA player, Mark Strickland and the training camp participants were on hand after each game to sign autographs and take pictures with fans. Pictured here is Toronto native and local legend Denham Brown. The Power also collected non-perishable food items from fans which will be donated to the local Feed the Need food bank. The $5 admission from each game will go to The United Way, G.L. Roberts C.V.I. and Pickering H.S. The intra-squad games were the first opportunity for fans to get a sneak peek at the Oshawa Power roster. Toronto native and local legend Denham Brown will be donning the orange and black for the first time this season. Brown is the first member of the Canadian Senior Men's National Team to sign with an NBL Canada franchise. Since arriving at training camp Brown has raised the level of competition, and has been one of the vocal leaders amongst the group. Oshawa Power 18-man Training Camp Roster includes Denham Brown, National Basketball League of Canada number one overall draft pick Morgan Lewis, former York University standout Tut Ruach and fellow Canadians Paul Campbell, Antwi Atuahene and Kevin Francis. The roster also includes Marcus Robinson, Akeem Wright, Omari Johnson, EJ Kusnyer, Vince Camper, Aaron Perry, Josh Porter, Hugh Barnett, Brandon Robinson, Julian Long, Jahaziel Howard, and Jushey Rockett. "We are very pleased with the guys we have on our training camp roster,” said Gary Durrant, President of Basketball Operations.” I can't wait for everyone to see how entertaining and dynamic our guys are. Be prepared to be amazed by the Power." The Oshawa Power will play their first home regular season game of the season on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the General Motors Centre, where they will tip off against the Moncton Miracles at 7:30 p.m. Visit www.powerbasketball.ca for the complete 2011-2012 game schedule.
