President Of Metrolinx To Address Role Of Metrolinx In Durham

late December the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce participated in a meeting of the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce to hear a presentation by Bruce McCuaig, President and CEO of Metrolinx on its plans for the Big Move. The meeting was hosted by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce in Toronto. The discussion was informative and fruitful and a good start to what is seen as a productive relationship between Metrolinx, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) and the business community in Ontario.

Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce Achieves Renewal of Chamber of Commerce Accreditation With Distinction

Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce (GOCC) is pleased to announce our recent achievement of renewal of Chamber of Commerce Accreditation with Distinction through the Chamber Accreditation Council of Canada (CACC).

GOCC’s application was reviewed and passed the Council’s strict examination, having satisfied the highest level of chamber of commerce standards and practices in the areas of: Membership Programs/Services; Policy & Advocacy; Organization/Administration; Governance; and Strategic Planning. The Accreditation is akin to ISO quality standards, but for chambers of commerce in Canada, with over 100 specific criteria that must be met with demonstrated evidence in an extensive submission.
